- Emotional Burnout: Battling burnout, anxiety, depression, and sense of disconnection, often accompanied by guilt or shame.
Dr. Olson understands these struggles and found her own path to well-being through Mind Body Medicine.
I know these feelings intimately—the physical illness of dissatisfaction, the soul-deep distress of feeling my agency as a physician reduced, my patient care constrained by conventional training, the medical system, and insurance. I nearly walked away from medicine to attend art school.
Everything changed in 1997, when I discovered Mind Body Medicine and Ayurveda with Dr. Deepak Chopra. This training expanded my identity as a physician and a woman in medicine. I learned to offer holistic, patient-centered solutions beyond my conventional training—prevention and reversal of disease through lifestyle, nutrition, and self-care. I understood deeply that mind, body, and spirit are inseparable, and their alignment shapes health and wellbeing.
By integrating Mindfulness and Mind Body Medicine with Endocrinology, I transformed my own health, rekindled my love for medicine, and improved outcomes for my patients. My work became prosperous again—not just financially, but in purpose and fulfillment. Patients saw the value and invested in having me as their doctor. I believe when we, as healers cultivate our own wellbeing and expand our offerings, we create more abundance- for ourselves and those we serve. My husband Dr. Eric Olson, an orthopedic surgeon, also trained in Mind Body Medicine and found renewed satisfaction in his work.
